Neumann Systems Group, Inc. (NSG) is a technology and product development organization focused on commercializing gas-liquid contactor systems for chemical processing and emissions control. Current large scale projects include the design of a flue gas desulfurization system for Colorado Springs Utilities. To date NSG has received over $60 million of government research and development funding. Success at competing for and performing government contracts led to two years on Inc. magazine's list of the 500 fastest-growing companies in the country. Recent intellectual property development and demonstration programs in the area of gas liquid contactors has led to opportunities for developing and selling commercial systems for elimination of pollutants (including greenhouse gases) from flue gas at fossil fuel burning power plants. NSG has 60 employees and expects to add 15 people during the first half of 2012 in senior management; engineering and operations management; chemical and mechanical engineering; chemistry and physics; and technical and operations support. Other potential market areas for NSG products include chemical production, pharmaceuticals, energy production, water purification, and oil refining. The company is well funded, has no debt and has always operated at a profit.
